recipe of the month :: simple rib cowl

this cowl was designed for the mamas in the mama & me class! it’s simple and sweet, squishy and warm. this is a good knit for a beginner and although it’s a fairly large piece, working in the round makes it a breeze.

this recipe requires 2 hanks cascade 128 in any color of your liking

1 US 10 24” circular needle

1 yarn needle

1 marker

cast on 100 stitches and join for working in the round being careful not to twist the stitches. place marker to designate the beginning of the round.

work rib for 3” as follows: *k3, p1 repeat from * to end

once those 3” have been worked, begin working in stockinette by knitting every round. continue this way for 9”

finish by working last 3” in rib as follows: *k3, p1 repeat from * to end.

bind off and weave ends.
